The Hammond Bay is a Transport Canada certified passenger vessel. It was built in Port Dover, Ontario in 1992 by a commercial fisherman as a private yacht. It was designed along the lines of a seaworthy Great Lakes fish tug.

The Hammond Bay:

  • is 54 ft. long (16.5 metres), and 16ft wide (5 metres)
  • draws 5 feet (1.5 metres)of water
  • is powered by a 110hp 471 Detroit Diesel engine
  • travels about 10 mph (16km)

Lee Marine Ltd purchased the Hammond Bay in 1994 and it entered charter service in July 1995.

Your Captain is George Lee. He has been running a variety of vessels on the St. Clair River for over 40 years.

The Hammond Bay passes Fawn Island



This passenger vessel is available for group charters of up to 40 people. There is seating in the main cabin as well as at the bow and stern. The washroom is located in the main cabin. The wheelhouse, washroom and main cabin are non-smoking areas.
